1.5 Sun Li's Story

Sun Li silently weighed her options. Or so I figured.  To tell or to run back.  To me, it was a no brainer, whatever she was running from wasn't worth going back.  Her eyes darted around the island.  She was going to run.  I knew it.

"First you have to understand that growing up outside Shang Simla  is rough.  Yes, the city is beautiful on the surface, but in the farmlands that support the city, food is rare and crime is high."  I knew I should probably be listening, but my apple was burning.

"My family was broken from the time I was born.  My father wanted a boy, and my parents kept trying until she died with the birth of girl number five.  Me."   Here I was a spoiled only child;  Jace 2.0 scowled at me.  "At 16, I decided to leave.  My father had nothing to do with us. My sisters were grown and had nothing to do with me.  I wanted attention, and I swore to find it somewhere."

A chill ran down my spine.  The fire was dying, but I wasn't ready for her to stop talking.  I took her poker as she finished her marshmallow and moved to poke the fire.  It roared back to life, warming the two of us.

"I made my way to Shang Simla.  After weeks of roaming the streets and getting by I met Zhan.  It was the life I never had.  Food was abundant. The parties were lavish. There may have been drugs and crooks, but I was in love."  That wasn't exactly what I wanted to hear. I was busy trying to convince myself I wasn't in love with her.  I watched the flames dance, and listened.

"It didn't take long before Zhan was tired with me.  I was soon locked in a room with other girls who had once been the object of Zhan's eye. I cried for days.  But they didn't laugh because they had been there too.  We all had similar stories.  And when he was done,"  Sun Li suddenly started sobbing.

I'm fairly certain I had never moved as fast as I did to comfort her in my life.  But this time it was different. I was in love. There was no avoiding it.  She was the ying to my yang. The peanut butter to my jelly.  That moment I knew I wouldn't life without her. I couldn't pull her into my lap.  We were too close to the fire.  And even though I might have been new to this romantic thing, but I knew I was supposed to hold her.  At least that's what happened in the movies. So I stood there, holding her, and whispering words of encouragement.  Because it really was okay now.

I held her close and just let her cry.  Long after my legs fell asleep, I tried to look at her. She met my eyes and smiled weakly. Whatever it was, it was painful. And I was fairly certain I wasn't figuring it out tonight.

1.4 Home Sweet Home

I returned to my secluded island to find it not so secluded.  I was pissed.  (And so was I. A few more Mods to control tourists? Yes please.) I tried to go about my business, but the people were making me feel crowded.  Thankfully they were kind, and when I asked them to leave, they split.

The only person I wanted on my island was Sun Li.  Even if it was to yell at her and tell her to go to hell. I couldn't keep living with this rage, so to let out some steam I decided to expand my garden.  I'd need the fruits if I was going to survive on the island anyways.

I was a little bummed that the sun didn't seem to set.  Probably something I should have thought about before settling in and deciding this was my second start at life...

I started planning my next trip. I was slowly saving money from my harvests and writing, and it had been a few weeks since I traveled. Plus, I was ready to expand my house.  Maybe a bed? Some wood for an actual house?  Not that I didn't mind my sleeping bag out side, but that sun has got to go!  It's hard sleeping with the sun up!

I woke the next morning to a familiar face standing over me,  "Good morning sunshine!" Of course, I screamed like a girl and failed my arms.  My. Isolated. Island. NOT! Once I realized I didn't have to spur into survival mode, I relaxed. The face was familiar. The voice the same.  Sun Li stood over me.  Her eyes blacked and her face cut.  I was almost sure blood was caked on her fingers.

I jumped to my feet. I really needed to invest in some sexy pj's next trip.  "What happened?" I blurted.  It was hard to look at her. I hesitantly touched her face.  Even under my soft touch she flinched.  "They're still fresh," she whispered referring to the bruises.  It wasn't the answer I was looking for, but I would take it now.  But she was going to start talking.

After helping her clean her face, I doctored her up the best I could with the little supplies I had. Words couldn't describe the emotions running through me.  Rage. Happiness. Maybe even love?  No, not love, she lied to me. Mustering up my bottled rage, I broke the silence between us, "Now's the time to start talking or I'm kicking you off my island." Sun Li looked shocked and surveyed my accommodations, "This wasn't what I expected when you said you lived on a beautiful island."

"And, if you are going to be hateful towards my island you can leave," I spat. It was beautiful. She just couldn't see past my minimalist living conditions.  Oh well.
"No, no.  I didn't mean it like that.  It's just not what I imagined. Please, I have no where to go." She begged.  I couldn't turn her away.  Well I could have, but I probably wouldn't have lived with myself.   "You can stay," I sighed, "but you better get to talking."

"Come here, it's chilly today," I said leading her a few feet to my fire pit, "and you look hungry."  I was a bit ashamed by my lack of produce, luckily, I had some left over marshmallows from my trip. "It's time you started talking."

Midnight Sun 1.3

I went to the market place to check on my boat. I was weary of a boat repair shop no where near water, but he was willing to do it for free on the side.  And beggars can't be choosers. After finding out my boat was almost finished, I decided to check out the cafe one more time.  The food so far had been pretty good  even if the people weren't.

I found a fortune cookie machine.  "You can't subtract in September."  Very helpful.  I decided to try  another maybe it  would prove more insightful.   "No matter how much smarter you are than me, you're still just two steps away from wetting yourself."  Not the least bit comforting. I was about to take a third cookie when a voice interrupted me, "Hey stranger."  I spun around quickly to see Sun Li standing behind me.

Of course, words would fail me again.  I stood there starring awkwardly.  My brain couldn't quite control my tongue.  Maybe if I just move my hands, she'll know I want to speak. "Well, I'm about to get off work," she hinted with a shy glance.  Jace 2.0 glared at me.  The ball was in my court.  I could do this.  I wasn't twelve.  This wasn't the first conversation I had had with a girl.  Finally, words escaped me; even if they weren't the most flattering thing I've ever said, "Wanttogooutwithme?" Sun Li stood there trying to decipher my words.  I took a slow breath and tried again.  "I plan on leaving tomorrow.  Think you could show me around town?"  Sun Li smiled. Jace 2.0 grinned. And I was back in the game.

Since we were already in the Plaza, our date began with local food from the market.  I couldn't get used to this food.  I love it.

It was late, so we followed dinner with a swim.   It may have been a bit inappropriate.  At least it was late.

I was ready to get out of the plaza and enjoy the nature that China had to offer.  I figured it would be gentlemen like to let Sun Li choose.  Sun Li chose a spot over looking the market place.  I found it slightly intimidating below The Dragon's Maw, but the heat from the dragon's mouth warmed up the cool night.

It was kind of beautiful up here.  Even if I hated the locals, it was a beautiful place.  Sun Li was the first to break the silence, "So what brings you here?"  I contemplated the truth or a lie.  I figured the truth was best, "I was on vacation and the ocean liner wrecked."  Sun Li's eyes widened, "I heard of that.  Figured it was local gossip."
"Not gossip," I shrugged, "I drifted to this beautiful island off the coast.  I think I'm going to stay there.  I don't have too much back home."  It was true.  It stung a little. What was there to go back too?  A dead end job?  A couple fake friends?  A few ex's that would rather spit in my face.  Yeah, my island was looking pretty good.
"No family?"
"Not really.  We really don't talk. I doubt they've noticed I'm gone.  What about you?"
"I moved out here for a better future.  I guess it's brighter here than back home.  But sometimes I wonder."
I was beginning to relate.  Right now I was hoping I could have a brighter future on my island. Would I one day sit back and question my decisions.  Much like Sun Li?

"Free time?" She giggled, knocking me with her shoulder.  It was hard to think of things I liked.  Maybe the ship wreck had caused amnesia. "Gardening. Writing. You?"
"I don't usually have a lot of free time. But probably martial arts.  Painting."
"Why don't you have much free time?" She worked as a cashier; that couldn't consume that much time.  Sun Li looked off into the distance, a clear indication that she wasn't interested in answering my question, "It's not something I care to share just yet."  I guess I would just have to accept that as an answer.  Even if it was a BS answer.

"See that? When the stars line up in that pattern, my people believe, it means good fortune." Sun Li said point to a small cluster of sparkling lights.
"And you believe it?"
"Eh, it's folklore.  But it gives me something to look forward too.  There's not too much anymore."  Sun Li looked a bit older.  A bit more concerned about what tomorrow would bring.  Maybe there was more to her life than martial arts and being a cashier.

"I got an idea.  I think you will like it," Sun Li stated, jumping to her feet and pulling me with her. It was like a flip of a switch.  Gloomy Sun Li.  Happy Sun Li. "Let's check out the Scholars Garden."

The Scholar's Garden was as beautiful as it was calming.  Ponds trickled and the air was scented with cherry blooms. "This is my favorite place,"  Sun Li whispered, "I could paint it all day It reminds me of home." I hated how vulnerable she sounded, but I was overjoyed that she would show me this place.  Especially if it was so close to her.  I had the overwhelming urge to hold her.

Without thinking I closed the space between us, pulling her close. She didn't try to resist which I took as a good sign.  "How long have you  been here?"
"A few years."
"No trips home?"
"No.  I really can't." Before I could question why she pulled me close, and her lips met mine.

"Don't ask questions I'm not going to answer," she whispered pulling away.  The most I could was grin and shake my head.

Sun Li pulled away from me long before I wanted her to.  If it was up to me, I would have stood there all night holding her or asking her questions.  I could have slept there on the ground if it meant I didn't have to let her go. "I should probably make it back home.  Zhan gets upset if I stay out too late."
Woah wait.. back up? "Huh?"  Yeah, I was a master of words.

I quickly flashed through the night and the memories I had.  Yeah, no mention of a boyfriend. Yeah she wanted me to go out with her.  Well mostly.    Yeah, kiss initiated by her.  So, my hands were technically clean. Well, clean-ish.  Sun Li's tone turned from calm and carefree to worried and panicked,  "He's this guy I live with."  Guy she lives with?  Boyfriend. Shit. She was on her own going home.  After seeing the confused look across my face, Sun Li quickly tried to clear it up,  "Look don't worry about it.  I had a nice night."  And with a quick kiss on the cheek, she left me for a second time.

I stood there fuming. I wanted to hit something.  To practice that skill Sun Li taught me.  However, the closest thing was a rock. And I'm pretty sure the rock would win.  This is why in the past I never had true girlfriends.  Just girls I could call when needs needed to be met. Because I would find girls I liked, and they either had extreme baggage or boyfriends they neglected to tell me about until AFTER I've completely fallen for them.  One more reason to hate this place?  I think so.  At least I would be home tomorrow, and Sun Li and her drama would be behind me.

I was done with China. End of story.

Week Five

Cecil decided early that living in a house wasn't his best idea.  So he moved into a three bedroom loft, and he suddenly wasn't happy it wasn't a penthouse...  But he was happy with his muscles.

Cecil met Addison Rush the night before at a bar.  Both of them were too tired to go on a date, so Cecil invited her over when he was refreshed the next day.  After his morning vomiting routine of course. She was pretty, and they shared a mutual dislike  of Stella Striker.  But she liked talking about marriage.  That red flag alone should have made Cecil run for the hills...

Midmorning Cecil's phone vibrated,  a text from Jun.  She was still ignoring him,  but she wanted him to know he was the father of her seventh child.

That night Cecil met back up with Addison.  Thankfully this time the formalities were over.

Cecil spent some time with Diana.  She was very sophisticated.  It might have made him nervous a bit.  But, she was risque!

Oh shit, husband alert!

Nice strut!

Belisama seemed to have grown up well.  What? She is dating Cecil's son?

Not a problem...
And if Gus forgives her for this, she will mother Cecils's grandkids and sons.. Wow.

While working as a bouncer at the theater for some extra cash,  Cecil witnessed Apollo confront Bianca about her growing tummy. "Now way is that mine!" Apollo shouted.  Bianca stuttered putting the moves on him.  Of course they were turned down. Apollo wasnt in the mood.  Cecil just hid inside the theater.  He wasn't getting in the middle of that.

By Wednesday, Addison had moved into his place.  Although it was nice to have someone clean up after him, Cecil didn't like how it cramped his style.  She had to go.

Cecil: We need to talk.
Addison: ...
Cecil: You need to leave.

Addison:  But...
Cecil:  No buts...
Addison: I'm pregnant!  *cries*

Cecil: I cheated. *grins*
Addison: *screams* You what? I'm out!
The argument was promptly followed by a phone call, Caroline, number seven!

Trying to make things with with Bianca, Cecil went to break it off.  "I'm sorry Bianca,"  he lied, "I just want Apollo and you to be happy."  Really Cecil couldn't stand the nasty rumors running around.  And he knew what would happen if Bianca caught wind.    For being a married woman, she didn't take it well...

After reciving a call that Dianna was born,  Cecil thought it was time to build Suzy a true house for her, Kieko and Cecil's spawns.  Of course, Cecil would want to christen it.

But he didn't want the attached feelings.  UGH girls.

While making house calls,  Cecil plays with his son Trey.  Yeah, no family resemblance what-so-ever.  And almost gets busted with Matilda by her husband.  At least she kept her feelings to herself...

Trey definitely has his moms hair and daddy's eyes.

After playing around the theater for an evening,  Cecil was pretty sure he had added at least three potential moms-to-be to his list. He also found a creepy ghost.

Tiara came over for some post break up loving so Cecil thought.  After being busted by the security at the theater twice and busted by Diane (who was just talking with her husband about cheating), Cecil took Tiara home, only to get toss out of the elevator for his rash moves.

Receiving two messages about the birth of twins, Cecil settled in for a quiet night at home.  However, it wouldn't be complete without a burglary.  However, Cecil whooped up on the burglar before she walked in his front door.  Pretty sure that's considered assault Cecil.  But Cecil won and the burglar rethought her plan.

Sum up week 5-  62 total kids  15 babies mommas!

Come to find out, moving a sim in is against the rules.  Oops. My bad.

Week Four

The beginning of week four brought Matilda Smart along. She hadn't apparently heard of Cecil's reputation because, well, he erased it and covered his tracks. Regardless of the broken hearts along the way. Matilda also mothered twins.

In the mean time, Cecil put the moves on Suzy Strummer not once but twice. As long as Kai, her hubby,  didn't find out it would be okay.

Cecil's first born were aging up. Gus, Carissa, and Dominique were in high school, and soon to move into the real world.

Cecil found himself having a birthday, and it was time to move into a big boy house (because the expensive loft apartment wasn't cutting it anymore). It was just what he wanted, situated right on the beach with a lot of windows.

Matilda was the first to see his new place. Since they were technically still lovers, it was time to try again.

Cecil tried putting the moves on Morrigan Hemlock. Her pants proved tighter than most. Challenge accepted! Of course Cecil prevailed! But her eyes weren't something he wanted to remember.

Cecil knew there was something about Caroline's distance. Mid week, he was the father of twins, Larissa and Vicky. Nothing would keep Cecil down, not even Morrigan's threats.

He was soon patching things up with June. Yeah nothing obvious here. Just finishing up a tour of the theater with my friend. After a great date the two parted, and Caroline came over. Stacy joined her.

Although Cecil couldn't tell if he was the father,  he was. Cecil had to pull out some toys to keep Stacy busy while mom and dad were occupied.

It was a beautiful date none-the-less. But..

Rumors were spreading around town about Cecil's uncommitted ways. Cecil had to end it as a form of damage control.

Cecil received a call that night from Suzy regarding more good news! Cecil was the father of Jayson and Tosha! Cecil went to meet up with them; however, Cecil knew he had alternative motives.

Cecil woke up the next morning with news he was the father of triplets! Emmy had birthed Tad, Jeri, and Ken. Cecil wasn't keen on the names but to each his own.

After errands on Friday, Cecil ran into Jun Li again.  Oops.

Isn't she just the sweetest?

But it was Friday night and Cecil wasn't going to sit around.  However, all of his baby mommas congregated at the theater.  A bad place to be.  Cecil quickly left.

Cecil found himself at the Brightmore.  Where he found an officer of the law.  But his plans for taking someone home were spoiled.  Katelyn showed up.

Saturday, Cecil invited Bianca over.  And she was in her uniform. It really didn't matter, she'd be out of it soon.  But Cecil wasn't feeling too good, and had to make an impromptu detour to the bathroom.  So this is what my babies mommas feel like.  UGH.

Come here baby and give me a kiss.  Eww.

One thing led to another.

Ah so cute.

His date was interrupted by a phone call from Morrigan. Twin sons!  Maybe he's rethinking his life plan? And a text notification that he is naughty.

On a side note, I went to see if I could get a pic of Morrigan leaving with a baby and I found Caroline.  Obviously mad at Cecil.

Cecil slept in the new week, dreaming of his own commitment issues.  Maybe one day he'd find someone to tame his wild heart.  Whew what a busy week!  7 new births.  44 total children.  And 12 Baby  Mommas.  :)
